Serbian Spa and Resort Association was founded in 1970 with the aim of organizing and directing the development of spas and other resorts to whom nature has given the opportunity to improve peoples' health.

INTRODUCTION

Spas and climatic resorts have a long-lasting tradition and have always been the favorite places for rest and relaxation. Most of the spas in Serbia are situated at the feet of mountains, protected from strong winds, with a mild climate and ecologically clean environments.

The Republic of Serbia is rich with thermo mineral springs whose waters, according to their chemical compounds, temperature and other properties, make it possible to treat and cure almost any illness that spas are recommended for. Because of all this, our spas and resorts hold a very special place in Serbian tourism.

This site contains and provides data on the complete offer and characteristics of the spas and climatic resorts in our country, from their geographical location and traffic links, through natural curative factors, medical indications, cultural, entertainment and historical facts, to general information and facts about accommodation.

This site is intended for a vide variety of users: tourist agencies, information centers, medical institutions; and, finally, it will surely be of use to every citizen and family when choosing a spot for rest, recreation and rehabilitation.

Emphasizing the practical use and value of this publication, our wish is for it to contribute to the popularization of spas and climatic resorts in Serbia, and most of all, getting to know them better.
